As a graduate of the Faculty of Science of Charles University in Prague, she started her scientific career at the Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, from where she moved to the PhD program at the Toxicogenomics Unit, National Institute of Public Health. Since 2018 she has been working at the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen, Charles University. She gained crucial experience during her study program in cooperation with NIPH in Prague, Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen and especially during her internship abroad at one of the top institutions dealing with genetic profiling of oncological patients (Institute for Cancer Research, Norwegian Radium Hospital, Oslo, Norway). Thanks to this foreign experience, Dr. Šeborová was able to base the results of her dissertation on a number of publications in highly impacted international journals, usually in the first quartile of the field. During her PhD program, Dr. Šeborová has successfully completed a GAUK project and has also received a number of awards, e.g. for the best lecture at the 59th Student scientific conference in Pilsen. She also won the 1st place in the competition of young researchers of the National Institute of Health Sciences in Prague and the 4th place in the dissertation category in the Werner von Siemens competition in 2022. At the end of 2023, Dr. Šeborová was awarded the Josef Hlávka Prize for her dissertation and her scientific activity. We wish Dr. Šeborová many more successes in her scientific career.
