Biomedical Center of Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen in collaboration with University of West Bohemia invites you to INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR: The power of data analysis: from lab through analysis to databases 7. 10. 2019 from 3 p.m. Room no. 4.201 (Practice room I), Institute of Pathological Physiology, UNIMEC, 1st floor.
The team of the Laboratory of Cancer Treatment and Tissue Regeneration of the Biomedical Center, Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen, Charles University, have joined an Erasmus+ project called MedTrain3DModsim, which has recently been launched. The project aims at improving undergraduate and postgraduate education and training in medicine through the use of 3D models. The scope of the project thus expands the long-term collaboration of the Laboratory with the Faculty of Applied Sciences, University of West Bohemia, in computationally assisted oncosurgery to the level of teaching and, also, to an international scale. The 3D models developed within the project will address specific anatomical and pathological features of complicated oncological diagnoses and they will be implemented both in a physical form of 3D printing and in virtual reality and augmented reality applications. The project is co-funded by the European Erasmus+ programme and coordinated by a team from Turkish Hacettepe University. Besides Charles University, the project partners include University Roma Tre (Italy), Chosun University (South Korea) and National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece).
